In 1994, I was commissioned by the NYC Mayor's office to document children interacting in playgrounds and elementary schools. Often considered a taboo subject because of its perceived sentimentality, children in fact, create a window reflecting the " American Dream", and how that dream has evolved.

While observing these children, the art of imitation opened my eyes to photographing people in a different way. I learned to look past the adult, and see a more in-depth view of individuals and mimics.
